Kilimanjaro Marangu Route 7 Days Details

4 Day Camping Safari

Embark on an exciting 4-day camping safari that showcases the natural beauty of Tanzania, including Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park. This safari provides a perfect mix of wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, and diverse ecosystems, making it an ideal choice even for those with limited time.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Your adventure begins as you head towards Lake Manyara National Park in the morning. This park, situated along the Rift Valley Escarpment, is famous for its picturesque alkaline Lake Manyara, often adorned with a pink hue due to the seasonal arrival of flamingos. With over 400 bird species, it’s a haven for bird enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for giraffes, elephants, monkeys, and antelopes amidst the lush forest, acacia trees, and grasslands. If you’re lucky, you may spot the unique tree-climbing lions, a rare sight among these majestic felines. After a day of exploration, you’ll head to Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to Mto wa Mbu and journey through the cool highlands towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. This remarkable park boasts a diverse landscape, ranging from expansive grass plains to dry savannah and marshy woodlands, creating an ideal habitat for both predators and their prey. The Serengeti is home to the largest animal migration globally, with wildebeest and zebras embarking on a spectacular journey during different seasons. Your experienced guide will lead you to prime wildlife viewing spots, ensuring you witness this awe-inspiring phenomenon. Spend the night at a central Serengeti campsite.

Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation

As the sun rises over the vast plains, we set out on an early morning game drive. The Serengeti’s abundance of prey species, including gazelles and impalas, supports a thriving predator population, making it one of Africa’s top destinations for lion, leopard, and cheetah sightings. After your game drive, enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing for the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the crater’s rim, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the 600-meter-deep caldera. Spend the night at a campsite on the crater’s edge, watching the sun dip below the glistening springs of the volcano’s floor.

Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Kickstart your day with an early breakfast, followed by a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater via a narrow, steep road. This crater is home to a stunning array of wildlife, from zebras and hippos to hyenas and wildebeests. The famous Big Five—buffalo, rhino, lion, elephant, and leopard—also call this natural wonder home. After an extensive game viewing experience and a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, you’ll depart the crater and head back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.

Meals: Breakfast; Lunch
