Tour Plan:
Day 1: Londorossi Gate → Mti Mkubwa Camp
Begin your journey on the western side of Kilimanjaro. After registration, drive to the trailhead and hike through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp → Shira 1 Camp
Leave the forest behind and enter the heather and moorland zone. Enjoy wide-open views as you trek to Shira 1 Camp.
Day 3: Shira 1 Camp → Shira 2 Camp
A gentle hike across the Shira Plateau with stunning views of Kibo Peak. This day helps your body adjust to the altitude.
Day 4: Shira 2 Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp
Climb higher to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. This “climb high, sleep low” strategy improves summit success.
Day 5: Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp
Climb the Barranco Wall and continue through valleys and ridges to Karanga Camp.
Day 6: Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp
Ascend to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt. Rest early and prepare for the final push.
Day 7: Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp
Start your summit ascent at midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, then descend to Mweka Camp for overnight rest.
Day 8: Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, receive your certificate, and transfer back to your hotel.
